EuroMov Journal Club talks take place on Thursdays from 9:00 – 10:15am. The Journal Club sessions represent a friendly environment where graduate/ PhD student and post-doc can present talks on any matter of interest to them, such as a journal paper, their own recent data, or any scientific question they want to debate. Generally, two speakers are welcome during a session, and discussion continues while a cake is served in the kitchen… before the attendees join the seminar starting at 10.30 am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
On some occasions, instead of a regular Journal Club session, the (young) speaker is in charge of the prolegomena to the seminar (on Thursdays from 10-10.30 am). This introductory speech is an opportunity to stimulate the discussion following the seminar and to raise complementary questions.
